The Flying Park was built in 2005 and opened for its first season in spring 2006, as one of the first adventure parks in Trentino. Since 2009 it has been run by Ezio Zanella, a mountain guide from the Val di Sole, with around twelve instructors. The park lies in an old larch forest at Regazzini near Malè – a ten-minute walk from the station, over a footbridge across the Noce. Our photo was taken from that bridge.
Colours in a fixed order
The operator calls the Flying Park the largest adventure park in Italy: 17 courses with 240 stations, plus a climbing wall with seven routes and 300 holds and the Power Fan jump from 15 metres. The courses are ordered by colour – yellow, orange and violet for children; green, blue, red and black for older climbers – and have to be done in sequence. Even experienced climbers do not start straight on black.
The children's courses start one metre above the ground so that parents can lead their child by the hand. Children can start from age three; minors need an adult on site. The belay is the continuous Coudou Pro system.
Charged by progress
You pay at the end, depending on how far you got: up to the green courses 34 €, up to the blue 36 €, up to the red 38 €, everything including black 40 €. Each extra round costs 2 €. The children's packages are valid for two hours: yellow 10 €, yellow and orange 20 €, all three children's colours 30 €, each further hour 3 €. A companion on courses 3–4 goes free. The Trentino Guest Card gives no discount.
According to the operator, doing every course takes almost five hours. That is why the park asks you to arrive at least three hours before closing. Around it are meadows with picnic tables, a small playground and the Osteria del Bosco, which the park does not run. Dogs on a lead are welcome, and only groups of more than 15 need to book.
Season from late April to late September

The Flying Park is new in the directory, together with more than 100 other parks from Italy and Switzerland. You will find all parks in the region under Trentino.
