Kirchschlag: a ropes course in the pine forest above Linz

Ten courses with 110 stations, a quarter of an hour from Linz. Three new pictures from Ralf und Walter show the course between spruces, wooden huts and the zipline.

The team at Ralf und Walter has sent us three pictures of Hochseil-Klettergarten Kirchschlag. Until now the entry showed only our neutral drawing – now you can see where you are actually going.

A forest full of platforms

The first picture is an overview: tall spruces with round wooden platforms between them, ladders, ropes in every colour and the small wooden huts at the edge. Ten courses with 110 stations up to twelve metres high are spread through this forest, plus a flying fox. The third photo shows the zipline running diagonally across the frame towards a platform while the next climbers wait beside it.

Built for groups

The second picture shows a whole group on the course, some up top, some below watching and cheering. That is what Kirchschlag is known for: families, school classes and companies, and groups can also come on weekdays. Children have their own TÜV-certified kids' park, and child tickets for rounds A1 to A4 start at age four.

Short drive, book ahead

Kirchschlag lies in the recreation area north of Linz, about a quarter of an hour from the city. It opens on weekends and public holidays from 1 to 6 pm, and during the Upper Austrian summer holidays also Wednesday to Friday – an online reservation is required in advance. In winter the business turns into a ski school: same operator, different programme.

The photos come from the operator; the credit reads "© Ralf und Walter".
