Jungle Raider Park Xtreme: seven zip lines across a gorge near Lake Como

Zip lines up to 250 metres, crossings up to 60 metres high and a 10-metre jump above the mountain stream. The park near Caglio sent us a photo that says more than any figure.

Luca from Jungle Raider Park Xtreme sent us a single photo – and it is exactly the right one. It shows the park the way you otherwise only experience it from above. Thank you very much!

Looking down into the gorge

A climber in a white helmet hangs from the pulley and glides across a narrow, mossy gorge, with a mountain stream rushing over the rocks far below. That is the park near Caglio in the Triangolo Lariano between Como and Lecco. The operator calls it Italy's first extreme adventure park; it belongs to the Jungle Raider Park chain.

Seven stations, two hours

The circuit leads across seven stations: a maxi zip line of 130 metres at a height of 40 metres, the "Spider" zip line into a net, three canyon zip lines totalling 450 metres at up to 60 metres high, a 10-metre jump with two 50-metre zip lines over the stream, a 30-metre bridge across the gorge, a steep zip line reaching 50 km/h and, to finish, 250 metres in one go.

Groups of up to 24 start at fixed times with instructors, and the circuit takes about two hours.

Not for children

Entry only from age 14, from 140 cm and between 40 and 100 kg; booking is compulsory. The circuit costs 35 € per person, 30 € from four people and 25 € on weekdays. It is open from late March to early November at weekends and on public holidays.

If you have younger children with you, the chain's family parks are nearby, such as Jungle Raider Park Civenna. You will find more facilities in the area under Lombardy.
