Trentino Wild Park: pay by the hour, even in the snow

The Trentino Wild Park is at Contre near Caldes in Val di Sole. It used to be called Parco Avventura alle Contre. It is run by the Rafting Center Trentino Wild from Dimaro, which has offered outdoor activities since 1982. The park is built entirely in the trees, among spruces and larches.

Many courses, one clock

The operator speaks of more than 70 courses with over 100 elements. They range from green through blue and red to a red-black course called "Ninja Warrior" and a 220-metre XXL zip line, which the operator counts among the longest in Trentino. Climbers stay on a continuous safety line that only releases at the end.

You pay by time, not by course. With the two-hour ticket you can do every course as often as you like. Two hours cost 25 € for everyone from age six; adults, teenagers and children pay the same. One hour, aimed at younger children, costs 18 €, and three hours cost 40 €. In winter two hours cost 24 €. Cancellation is free up to seven days before.

At reception you can borrow an action camera free of charge; you only buy the SD card.

Who can go where

The entry level is age six and 110 cm in height, on the Green 1 Kid course. Light-blue and yellow courses are open from age seven. Red, Ninja Warrior and the XXL zip line require 140 cm. Children up to 120 cm climb only with an adult.

Summer and winter

For summer the operator gives "April to September", elsewhere "mid-April to mid-September", 9 am to 5 pm (last entry); it gives no exact days. Climbing continues in light rain. The summer season is therefore over, but the break is short: from 11 December to mid-March climbing resumes in the snowy forest. According to the operator, it is the only tree-based ropes course in Trentino open in winter.
