Accrobranche Charmey
Charmey · Fribourg · from age 6
Rope park at the middle station of the Charmey gondola in the Gruyère region – eleven courses named after the region's peaks, from the easy Moléson to the very difficult Vanil Noir.
What makes Accrobranche Charmey special
The park lies at the middle station of the gondola from Charmey up to the Vounetz and is run by TéléCharmey. If you come on foot or hold a Magic Pass, you buy the cheaper rate without a lift ticket.
Eleven courses named after peaks: each course is named after a mountain of the Fribourg Prealps – Moléson and Dent de Savigny for beginners from six, Dent de Vounetz, Dent de Folliéran or Wandflue in the easy range, Hochmatt and Dent de Brenleire intermediate, Vanil de la Monse and Vanil d'Arpille difficult, Vanil du Croset and Vanil Noir very difficult. The operator lists the number of elements and zip lines for each – Hochmatt, for example, has six zip lines.
For the youngest there is “Le p'tit ruisseau”, eight play stations close to the ground without a harness, which children from three may use even without a ticket. There are also two free play areas, a snack bar and a picnic spot.
Right next door is the Valley of Zip Lines, a separate attraction with its own ticket. The lift company announces from 4 pm each day whether the rope park opens the next day.
