Adventure Park Rheinfall
Neuhausen am Rheinfall · Schaffhausen · from age 4
Rope park on the north bank of the Rhine Falls in Neuhausen with 17 numbered courses, views of the falls and the "Panorama Express" zip line of more than 400 metres.
What makes Adventure Park Rheinfall special
The park is on Nohlstrasse in Neuhausen, opposite the Rhine Falls car park P3 on the north side of the river. Neuhausen Rheinfall station is a five- to seven-minute walk away; from Laufen Castle you can cross the river by ferry.
The view is the point: from a platform more than 15 metres high on the green courses you look over the Rhine Falls, the blue "Panorama" course heads towards them on high zip lines, and the "Panorama Express" at red level is the park's longest zip line at more than 400 metres (weight limit 90 kg instead of the usual 120 kg or so).
17 numbered courses in all: two kids' courses for ages 4 to 7 with a continuous trolley belay, three green beginner courses, four blue ones, red ones with a "base jump" and black ones with pendulum jumps from up to 20 metres, a jump with a descent device and the demanding "Hell Trip". Equipment is rented for three hours, two on the kids' course.
There is no helmet requirement, though you may bring your own; the safety system always keeps at least one carabiner on the cable. Your own harness is not allowed. Individuals can turn up without booking, groups and schools must reserve. The operator updates the day's hours on its website every morning by 8 am.
