Hochseilgarten Stegerspark
Stegersbach · Burgenland · from age 6
Forest rope park spread over roughly 16,000 m² of mixed woodland in southern Burgenland, with courses for beginners and experienced climbers.
What makes Hochseilgarten Stegerspark special
Nine courses spread across 16,000 m² of mixed woodland in southern Burgenland, with more than 60 exercises in total. The range is unusually wide: the lowest elements sit one metre up, the highest at 23 metres – careful first steps and a genuine test of nerve in the same place.
A double self-belay system does the securing, and trained instructors run through the technique beforehand. Groups get their own team-building area.
The forest keeps the site shaded until 2 pm, which on a hot summer day is a real advantage over open installations. During the summer holidays it opens Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm, Sundays and public holidays from 10 am to 5 pm. Groups of ten or more can also come outside those hours.
The park is at Wiener Straße 88a in Stegersbach and has been running for more than 13 years.
