Parco Avventura Monte Tamaro

Rivera-Monteceneri (Alpe Foppa) · Ticino · from age 4

Rope park in the old beech forest at Alpe Foppa on Monte Tamaro, reached by gondola from Rivera – three courses from Mini to Grande, with an “Extreme” level and the Final Tamaro Jump.

What makes Parco Avventura Monte Tamaro special

The park lies in the beech forest near Alpe Foppa on Monte Tamaro. You go up by gondola from Rivera, 300 metres from Rivera-Bironico station and close to the A2 exit. The operator, Monte Tamaro SA, calls it the first Parco Avventura in Ticino.

Three courses instead of many small ones: the Percorso Grande has four difficulty levels between 3 and 13 metres high, plus the “Extreme” level and the Final Tamaro Jump to finish. The Percorso Medio for young explorers runs at 3 to 8 metres with zip lines; the Percorso Mini stays below one and a half metres, with a harness and a hanging sledge.

Combined with the mountain: park and gondola tickets come as a package. Up top there are also the zip line, the summer toboggan run, paragliding flights and the Alpe Foppa restaurant. For each Grande or Medio combined ticket, the company donates one franc to its own aid fund.

A long season: in 2026 the gondola runs from 1 April to 8 November; the park opens at 9 am. Gloves are not needed; if you like, bring cycling or hiking gloves.
