Seilpark Rigi

Küssnacht am Rigi · Schwyz · from 120 cm

Rope park at the foot of the Rigi by the Alpenhof in Küssnacht: nine courses totalling four kilometres, a 20-metre climbing spiral and a 155-metre zip line with a view of Lake Lucerne.

What makes Seilpark Rigi special

The park sits in a patch of forest at the foot of the Rigi by the Alpenhof above Küssnacht, looking out over Lake Lucerne. It is run by OUTDOOR (Outdoor Switzerland AG) of Wilderswil, which also operates the rope park in Interlaken. According to the operator, Interlaken has more courses while the routes on the Rigi are longer.

Nine courses, four kilometres in total, cross suspension bridges, swinging logs, nets and narrow beams. Highlights are the 20-metre climbing spiral that winds its way upwards and, to finish, the 155-metre zip line through the treetops. After the briefing you practise on a test course close to the ground. The belay system stays connected to the cable throughout.

You climb in pairs at least. Children between 120 and 135 cm may use three courses with one-to-one adult supervision; from 135 cm every route is open. Under-18s need written consent from a parent. The park also opens in the rain and closes only in strong wind or storms.

The operator says people with disabilities are welcome and asks them to get in touch beforehand so the right support can be arranged. There is a picnic area with a gas grill, and the Alpenhof restaurant is right next door. Parking is charged.
