Adventure Park Adelboden: zip lines beneath the Rehärti bridge
Two zip lines of up to 320 metres over the Gilbach, high rope bridges, speed abseiling and three kids' courses. Martin Maurer from the Alpinschule sent us six photos.

Martin Maurer from the Alpinschule Adelboden Kandersteg sent us a link to six photos from the Adventure Park Adelboden and signed his email "#gerneperDU" – happy to be on first-name terms. So: thank you, Martin! The entry now shows the park instead of the neutral drawing.
Under the bridge rather than in the forest
The cover photo explains what makes this park special: a climber hangs from a zip line with her arms spread wide, behind her a large concrete road bridge spans the valley, and beneath it more people are out on the cables. The park lies in the Engstligen valley beneath the Rehärti bridge on the Gilbach. It is less about forest courses than about big lines: two zip lines of up to 320 metres run high above the river, along with high rope bridges, abseiling, speed abseiling (Quick Jump) and a large climbing wall.
Zip lines, platforms, bridge
Besides the cover photo, two more pictures show zip lines: a boy in a yellow helmet waving above the stony stream bed, and a man in red trousers in front of mountains with snowfields. One photo shows a group in helmets on a wooden platform at a tree trunk, with an aluminium ladder leading up to it, another four people with helmets, gloves and harnesses chatting on the ground. In the last one someone hangs upside down on a rope directly beneath the bridge. Below you can see a wooden hut, a tent, tables with parasols and a red slide.
The belay is a continuous Speedrunner system: once clipped in at the start, it cannot be unclipped until the end. Anyone who wants to swing from the bridge books the pendulum swing as an extra.
For families and children from four
Children aged 4 to 10 have three courses with 20 platforms in all just above the ground, secured with the Saferoller system. They cost CHF 20. The main park costs CHF 42 per person, or CHF 67 with the pendulum swing. There is no child rate there, but there are family prices: two adults with two children pay CHF 150.
The park is open in the afternoon from 1.30 to 5 pm and in all weather, with the last briefing starting at 3 pm. The operator reckons three to three and a half hours for the whole park. There is no parking at the park – from the Mineralquelle bus stop or the bus station it is about a 20-minute walk. The season runs until 25 October, and booking is recommended.
You will find more facilities in the area under Bern.
