Adventure Park Adelboden
Adelboden · Bern · from age 4
Rope park run by the Alpinschule Adelboden beneath the Rehärti bridge on the Gilbach – two zip lines over 320 metres, speed abseiling, a pendulum jump from the bridge and three kids' courses.
What makes Adventure Park Adelboden special
The park lies in the Engstligen valley beneath the big Rehärti bridge on the Gilbach. There is no parking at the park: from the Mineralquelle bus stop or the bus station you walk about 20 minutes along the stream or the road. The operator is the Alpinschule Adelboden.
It is less about forest courses than big lines: two zip lines of up to 320 metres run high above the river, along with high rope bridges, abseiling, speed abseiling (Quick Jump) and a large climbing wall. The pendulum swing from the bridge costs extra. Safety comes from a continuous Speedrunner system that, once clipped in at the start, cannot be unclipped until the end.
For children from four there are three courses with 20 platforms in total just above the ground, secured with the Saferoller system. Instead of a child rate for the main park, the operator offers family packages – two adults with two children pay CHF 150.
Afternoons, in any weather: the park opens from 1.30 to 5 pm, and the last briefing starts at 3 pm. Two tents at the meeting point give shelter from rain, and operations pause briefly during thunderstorms. By the stream there is a fire pit and a snack bar.
