discOWer Seilpark Melchsee-Frutt: a zip line over the stream and a park for the little ones
Seven courses in the mountain forest at 1,080 metres by the Stöckalp valley station, plus the Pfideripark for children from four. Julia Ritschard sent us five photos.

Julia Ritschard from the discOWer Seilpark Melchsee-Frutt sent us five photos, and they show the park from several angles: high above the stream, up on a platform and just above the forest floor with the children. The entry now shows them instead of the neutral drawing – thank you very much, Julia!
Right next to the valley station
In the cover photo someone rides a zip line over a mountain stream full of boulders, with green slopes and peaks with patches of snow behind. The park lies in the mountain forest at 1,080 metres, right next to the Stöckalp valley station of the lift up to Melchsee-Frutt, three minutes' walk from the PostBus stop. Parking is free. In 2026 the park celebrates ten years since construction began.
Seven courses, around 60 platforms
One photo shows three climbers in helmets waving from a wooden platform on a tree, with a rope ladder hanging below. In another someone swings on a rope between the treetops, photographed from below.
Seven courses with around 60 platforms range from very easy to very difficult. Even the easiest, Rägämettel, crosses the Cheselenbach on two 100-metre zip lines. On Haiwgumpär you climb up to 16 metres to the 12-metre pendulum jump, and Muigg runs for 240 metres at heights of 4.4 to 13.8 metres. The main rope park is open from age 6 and 120 cm. You always climb at least in pairs, and children aged 6 to 9 go on the courses with an adult.
The Pfideripark for the little ones
Two of the photos come from the Pfideripark, the children's rope park that belongs to the Seilpark: three children in orange helmets in a net of steel cables, and a girl walking across a walkway of wooden logs while holding on to a rope. There are three courses here, recommended from age four. Adults accompany the children from the ground. Because the Pfideripark is in a separate spot, you need at least two adults if you have children in both parks at the same time.
Adults pay CHF 38, children aged 6 to 15 CHF 28, each for three hours. The Pfideripark costs CHF 18 for an hour and a half. Tickets are sold only at the ticket desk, and the operator asks for cash. Until 1 November the park is still open at weekends from 10 am to 6 pm, with last entry at 4 pm.
You will find more facilities in the area under Obwalden.
