Dolomiti Adventure Park and Parco Avventura Madessa: two forest rope parks in Friuli

Eleven courses near Forni di Sopra, eight in Ravascletto opposite the Zoncolan cable car, one team for both. Thomas Veritti sent us photos from both parks.

Thomas Veritti from Spazio Verticale sent us photos from two parks at once: the Dolomiti Adventure Park in Forni di Sopra and the Parco Avventura Madessa in Ravascletto. Both entries now show real pictures instead of the neutral drawing – grazie mille!

Dolomiti Adventure Park: eleven courses by the Tagliamento

The cover photo shows a climber stepping across hanging wooden logs. The logs hang on blue ropes from a frame of thick timber beams, and a second climber waits behind her. In the second photo a little boy in a harness reaches for a green handle on the cable while an adult's hand holds the carabiners.

The park lies in Santaviela near Forni di Sopra, next to the chairlifts up the Varmost, with the Tagliamento flowing right behind the grounds. After storm Vaia at the end of 2018 every route was restored or rebuilt. Today there are eleven courses with more than 100 platforms, plus the Adventure Cube, a cube measuring seven by seven by seven metres built from the wood of the fallen trees, and tree houses for the youngest from age two. Experienced climbers head for the violet course with a zip line of around 100 metres, the red one at twelve metres and the Powerfan, a free jump from 15 metres.

You pay only at the end, according to the courses you have done. The "Drago" ticket from age eleven costs 15 € for two courses and 5 € for each further one, 30 € at most. The 2026 season came to an end on 11 October.

Parco Avventura Madessa: opposite the Zoncolan cable car

The two photos from Madessa show a boy in a red helmet: once between freely hanging rope loops while an adult waits on the platform – behind them a mown meadow and the houses in the valley – and once on a walkway of wooden logs, one hand on the steel cable.

The park lies in a shady conifer forest in Ravascletto in Carnia, directly opposite the valley station of the cable car up Monte Zoncolan. Since 2024 it has been run by the same team as the park in Forni di Sopra. Eight courses with more than 60 platforms are graded by height. The highest, "Tamai", consists only of zip lines and goes up to eleven metres above the ground.

Here you pay by time: from 140 cm one hour costs 20 €, each extra half hour 5 €. The season is short, from the end of June to mid-September – in 2026 it closed on 13 September.

You will find more facilities in the area under Friuli-Venezia Giulia.
