Domobianca Adventure Park: a course for wheelchairs

Above Domodossola there is a ropes park with a yellow course that, according to the operator, can be completed entirely in a wheelchair. Plus three more courses up to a jump from eleven metres.

The Domobianca Adventure Park lies in the beech forest of the Alpe Lusentino, a quarter of an hour's drive above Domodossola, in the Domobianca365 summer area. According to the operator it was the first of its kind in the Ossola Valley when it opened in 2010; three courses were added in 2022. One of them makes it stand out in our directory.

The yellow course

The yellow course has five platforms and, according to the operator, is one of the first in Italy that can be completed entirely in a wheelchair. It also serves as an intermediate step for smaller children. That is why the park is marked as built for wheelchair access in our directory – something only a few parks carry. What inclusive climbing means technically, and which questions to ask before a visit, we have collected in our article on the inclusive high ropes course in Marburg.

Three more courses, clearly graded

  • Green from age four: 15 sections about 1.5 metres up, with parents within reach.
  • Blue from age six and a reach of 140 cm with the arm stretched: the original course with 15 platforms, since 2022 with a bypass around the hardest part.
  • Red from age eight and 145 cm: it starts on a vertical net, crosses the treetops and a 140-metre zip line and ends with the Quick Jump, a leap into the void from eleven metres.

The belay is a continuous safety line that you only unclip from back on the ground.

Prices and season

All courses together cost 30 €, with no distinction between child and adult rates. Individually, blue or red cost 20 € for one round, green or yellow 18 € for two rounds, each extra round 5 €. Groups of ten or more get 20 % off, and no booking is needed. Next to the park there is a picnic area, a bar, a bike park, bouncy castles and a tubing run.

The park opens only in summer: in 2026 from 20 June daily in the afternoons, in high season also in the mornings, until 13 September. The next season therefore starts again in early summer. The photo shows the view from Domobianca over the Ossola Valley, taken in winter.

The Domobianca Adventure Park is new in the directory, together with more than 100 other parks from Italy and Switzerland. You will find all parks in the region under Piemonte.
