Parco Avventura Veglio and Salice Terme: two parks, ten new photos
A forest park in the foothills of the Alps near Biella and one in the spa park of Salice Terme, both run by the same people. Michele sent us five photos for each in a single afternoon.

Two emails arrived on the same afternoon, both signed by Michele: one from the Parco Avventura Veglio near Biella, one from the Parco Avventura Salice Terme in the Oltrepò Pavese. Each contained five photos. Both entries now show real pictures instead of the neutral drawing – many thanks for that.
Veglio: forest, birches and a bungee jump next door
The park in Veglio lies in the woods along the provincial road, in the hills north of Biella. The cover photo shows what it looks like there in summer: four teenagers in helmets on the platforms around a thick trunk, dense foliage all around. Another photo looks up through bare birches at a climber stepping across freely hanging wooden blocks.
There are ten courses in three levels here. The children's area is open from age three, the junior courses and the zip course with three zip lines in a row from age four and 110 cm. The two blue courses require ten years and 140 cm, the red one 15 years and 150 cm. Safety is provided by a continuous belay line. Anyone who wants more will find the same operator's bungee centre right next door.
Salice Terme: climbing in the spa park
The second park lies in the middle of the spa park of Salice Terme, seven kilometres from Voghera. The photos show children on a net bridge between tall conifers, adults on swaying rope bridges and the Mini Junior course on the lawn, where the youngest practise just above the ground.
Eleven courses, more than 200 metres of zip lines and, on top of that, Up2Tree, a genuine tree-climbing route up to 16 metres, which the operator describes as the highest in Italy. Mini Junior is open from age two. On the red course and the second zip line, an adult climbs along on the course, one for every three minors.
What the two have in common
The prices are the same: at the ticket desk the standard ticket for up to three hours costs €26, and €18 for children under 13 from 110 cm. Booked online it is cheaper in both parks. Both are open at weekends and on public holidays from spring to early November, with additional days in summer. Those who do not climb pay nothing.
All photos come from the operators and are credited with their names in the entries. You will find more facilities in the area under Piedmont and Lombardy.
