What makes Parco Avventura Veglio special

The park sits in woodland by the provincial road at Veglio, in the hills north of Biella. It is run by the company that also operates the bungee centre right next door and the Colossus zipline, so a climbing visit can be combined with a jump or a flight.

Ten courses on three levels: the children's area (from age 3, up to 60 kg, with helmet) has mini platforms at 60 cm, a tree house reached by a net and a climbing castle. The junior courses yellow, light blue, brown and green with 9 to 12 elements, plus the zip course with three ziplines in a row, are open from age 4 and 110 cm. The top courses blue 1 and blue 2 require age 10 and 140 cm, the red course age 15 and 150 cm – and, says the operator, good physical fitness. There is also "Up 2 Tree", real tree climbing from 20 kg.

A continuous safety line is used on the junior and top courses. A briefing and a signed form are compulsory before the first course; minors need an adult who signs and stays in the park. Companions who do not climb pay nothing.

The park opens on weekends and public holidays from Easter to early November, and daily around Ferragosto. The standard ticket is valid for three hours and the last entry is two hours before closing. Booking online is cheaper than paying at the desk.
