Pilatus Seilpark: ten courses at the gondola's middle station
On the Fräkmüntegg on Mount Pilatus, ten courses with around 100 elements lead through the mountain forest, plus a separate kids' park from age four. The season runs until 18 October.

The Pilatus Seilpark sits on the Fräkmüntegg at 1,416 metres, at the middle station of the panorama gondola that runs from Kriens up Mount Pilatus. The ride from Kriens takes about 30 minutes; on foot it is roughly three hours. The gondola ticket is not included in the admission – worth factoring in before you set off.
From Drachen-Ei to Dragon-Fire
Ten courses with around 100 elements lead through the mountain forest. All of them start on the compulsory Drachen-Ei course, between 1.5 and 3.4 metres high. The main park is open from age eight and 120 cm. After that the requirements rise: Mons Fractus, Flying Dragon and Drachen-Jäger need 130 cm, Höhenrausch, Dragonibus and Draconita 140 cm. The operator, Pilatus-Bahnen AG, calls Dragon-Fire – from age 14 and 150 cm – probably the most difficult course in Central Switzerland.
Belaying works on the self-belay principle: after a thorough safety briefing you move the carabiners yourself. Children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult, children from 11 to 14 supervised. The stay is limited to three hours.
For children aged 4 to 7 there is the Pilu Seilpark on the same site, with two courses and a continuous belay that never has to be moved. One hour costs CHF 12.
Prices and opening hours
Adults pay CHF 30, children aged 8 to 15 CHF 22, each for a maximum of three hours including equipment and safety briefing. Families pay from CHF 47 (one adult, one child) to CHF 113 (two adults, three children), each additional child CHF 19. For groups every tenth person goes free; groups of ten or more book in advance.
The 2026 season started on 25 April. The park opens daily from 10 am to 5 pm, in high summer from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. The last day is 18 October. Last entry is one hour before closing, and the park may close without notice in strong wind, rain, thunderstorms or snowfall.
To make a day of it: the Fräkmüntegg also has the Dragon Glider, a treetop walk, the Fräkigaudi toboggan run and the Tree Tents for a night in a tree.
The Pilatus Seilpark is new in the directory, together with more than 100 other parks from Italy and Switzerland. You will find all parks in the canton under Luzern.
