Seilpark Balmberg: autumn leaves, a slide and a view of the Jura
Twelve courses on 242 platforms in the beech forest on the Oberbalmberg. Saskia from the rope park sent us four photos that show why the park is especially worth a visit in autumn.

Saskia from Seilpark Balmberg sent us four photos, so large that they no longer fit into an email. They were taken in October, and it shows: yellow and orange beech leaves as far as the eye can see. The entry now shows them instead of the neutral drawing – thank you very much!
A forest full of platforms
The cover photo almost explains the facility by itself. Climbers are out on several levels at once, on hanging beams, ladders and platforms built around the trunks. The park has twelve courses on 242 platforms, and up to 230 people can climb at the same time.
The colours sort the offer: three purple kids' courses, two yellow beginner courses up to about five metres, three green ones up to ten metres, two blue ones, a red one up to 15 metres and a black one with 20 obstacles at a height of 20 metres. One photo shows the end of Green 3: a long slide that leads from the trees back down to the forest floor.
Zip lines up to 174 metres
The longest zip line measures 174 metres, and another runs 100 metres straight across the car park. From Blue 1 and Red you reach the “free fall”. Safety is provided by Clic-it, a carabiner system in which only one of the two carabiners can be opened at a time.
Children aged four to seven climb on the kids' courses and are supervised from the ground. The other courses are approved by age, from Yellow at eight to Black at 16, in each case two years earlier with a climbing adult.
And afterwards, onto the terrace
The fourth photo shows what comes after climbing: the terrace at the kiosk, wooden tables in the sun and, behind them, the limestone cliffs of the Jura. The park lies on the Oberbalmberg above Günsberg, not far from the Weissenstein. The PostBus goes up from Solothurn main station.
Adults pay CHF 42, children aged eight to eleven CHF 29, and there are cheaper rates for families and groups. The 2026 season runs until 1 November, and the park is open daily from 9 am to 6 pm.
You will find more facilities in the area under Solothurn.
