Kaltern an der Weinstraße · Südtirol · from age 3
High ropes course in the Altenburg forest near Kaltern: 24 courses with 212 elements between one and 25 metres, 36 flying fox stations and continuous SafetyLine protection.
What makes Abenteuerpark Kaltern special
The park lies in the Altenburg forest by the St. Anton sports zone, south of Kaltern on the South Tyrolean Wine Road. Its 24 courses hold 212 elements: nine easy, eleven medium and four difficult routes, more than two kilometres of climbing between one and 25 metres above the ground. A separate flying fox course adds up to 36 zip lines.
Protection uses the SafetyLine system to EN 15567 class E: you can only unclip at the start and end of a course. After training on the ground and at low height, visitors climb without staff escort, though trainers help if anyone gets stuck. The ticket is valid for up to three hours; individual visitors do not need to book.
For the youngest there is the Bambi Burg and five further children's routes. The Kaltern 2 city bus runs straight from the village centre. The season runs from April to the end of October; apart from August, the park is usually closed on Mondays.
