What makes the Hochseilgarten am Berzdorfer See special

Three levels, some 16 metres in total, and the lake below. The Berzdorfer See is a flooded lignite pit south of Görlitz; the view from up there runs across the water and the countryside.

The "Sansibar" event platform is available without a harness. Anyone not climbing pays 2 €, or nothing when buying something at the kiosk - unusual for a facility this size.

No time limit. The price covers the day, not two or three hours.

Birthday children climb free on the day, against proof.

Tuesday to Thursday the park opens only on request for ten people or more, and on Mondays not at all.

For children: The children's course on the lower level is for ages 3 to 8. The main course requires a minimum height of 1.25 m; children aged 6 to 9 may only climb accompanied, one adult to at most three children.

The main season runs from 3 April to 1 November 2026. Monday is a rest day; Tuesday to Thursday the park opens only on request for ten people or more. During the Easter holidays from 3 to 10 April, Whitsun from 26 May to 5 June and the summer holidays from 6 July to 11 September it opens daily from 10 am to 7 pm, and during the autumn holidays from 12 to 23 October until 6 pm. The last equipment handout is at 5.15 pm. Bad weather can change this at short notice.
