What makes the Galitzenklamm special

First the classification, because the name can mislead: the Galitzenklamm near Leisach is not a high ropes course. You climb via ferratas on rock, not courses strung between trees. Anyone looking for a forest rope park is in the wrong place – anyone wanting to show children climbing on rock is in exactly the right one.

Five routes cover the full range: the family via ferrata for a start, the Galitzenklamm route, plus Adrenalin, Dopamin and Endorphin for the practised. A separate area for children and beginners allows first attempts on the rope before heading into a route.

Around it the gorge is a destination for a whole day: a water trail with walkways above the roaring water, a large water playground with sluices, a play lake, a raft and a climbing ship, and a snack station.

Practical: a complete via ferrata set can be hired at the desk for a small fee – so you need not bring your own equipment.
