A small family-run site in the Mecklenburg Lake District with five family rates that opens only when the weather suits.
What makes Kletterpark Plau am See special
The park sits on Ziegeleiweg at the edge of Plau am See, in the middle of the Mecklenburg Lake District. The rope courses run through living trees and the site is run by Chris Eltschkner.
Five family combinations cover just about every line-up: one adult with two children pays 48 €, two adults with one child 52 €, one adult with three children 62 €, two adults with two children 65 € and two adults with three children 80 €. Singly, adults pay 20 € and teenagers up to 17 pay 17 €.
School classes pay by year group. Years 5 to 10 pay 12 € per person, from year 11 it is 15 €. Groups have to register at least one day in advance.
It only opens in suitable weather. The operator writes this out explicitly and asks for a call in advance during storms, thunderstorms or rain. Mondays and Fridays the park stays shut all season.
The 140 cm rule is not a barrier. Smaller children may climb, but only accompanied by an adult – the park names no minimum measurement.
A barefoot trail shares the site, leading over sand, gravel, mud and bog. It belongs to the adventure park and is the quieter half of the programme.
The consent form can be downloaded in advance. Bringing it filled in saves queuing at the entrance.

The park stays closed on Mondays and Fridays. From May to August the last admission is at 4 pm; before 10 am it only opens for groups by phone arrangement. The operator opens only in suitable weather and asks for a call in advance during storms, thunderstorms or rain. He does not attach a year to these times.
