What makes Kletterwald Eschwege special

You can book just the first course for 12 €. The taster rate is less than half a child's ticket and suits anyone unsure whether they get on with height. Hardly any other site in this directory offers such a low-threshold entry ticket.

The courses are self-contained and rise in height and difficulty. The operator states explicitly that you do not have to climb them all, and that a second visit builds fitness and nerve.

The group rate only starts at 30 people – unusually late; most sites begin at ten. In exchange, the same rate applies to families.

Groups of 20 or more get their own slot if they reach a minimum spend of 460 €. For teenagers at the group rate, 20 people just about does it.

It sits on the Leuchtberg above Eschwege – which is why directories sometimes list it twice, once as Kletterwald Eschwege and once as Kletterwald Leuchtberg.
