What makes Kletterwald Hamburg special
Seven of the eight courses end with a zipline — only course 4 does not. So nearly every round ends on a high note rather than simply petering out.
The belay runs continuously. The continuous belay system keeps you secured along the whole course; there is no constant clipping in and out.
Children climb from five years and 110 cm. Above that, access is graded in four height steps from 110 through 130 and 140 to 160 cm. That lets you work out before you set off exactly what a child will be able to reach.
You can get there on the U1. Stop "Meiendorfer Weg", or bus route 24 — unusually well connected for a forest ropes park. If you drive, you leave the car in the car park at the same underground station and get the 2 € parking fee back on showing the ticket.
Total use is 2.5 hours from the start of the briefing, which takes around 30 minutes; so actual climbing time is about two hours.
Because hours fluctuate during the week, the operator explicitly asks for an online booking in advance.
There is a small forest kiosk with snacks and drinks; you may also bring a picnic of your own.
Getting there is barrier-free — along a wide forest path. The courses themselves are not (operator's own statement, September 2026).
