What makes Kletterwald Taunus special

The site lies in the Taunus north of Frankfurt, an obvious destination for the Rhine-Main area.

The colours govern who goes where. Green and blue from five, red from eight — and from ten those courses may be tackled without an adult. That grading is clearer than a blanket age limit and can be worked out before setting off.

The accompaniment rule is strictly worded: anyone who needs an adult according to the overview must have that person beside them on the course. Supervision from the ground is expressly not enough. One adult may accompany at most two children.

Tickets come for two or three hours — the shorter option is rare among the sites in this directory and suits smaller children.

Annual passes cost 99 € and 69 €. For school classes, one teacher is free per ten climbers. And from six participants the birthday child up to 17 climbs free — also on a day other than the birthday itself.
