Kletterwald Viernheim

What makes Kletterwald Viernheim special

The site belongs to Forest Adventures, who run several climbing forests in Hesse, among them Kletterwald Gießen.

Two conditions apply at the same time: at least five years old and at least 120 cm tall. Height alone is not enough.

The companion rules are graded by course colour. Green and blue from five, red from eight, purple without a companion from twelve, black from 16, the diamond course from 18 – or from 14 with an adult one to one. Where a companion is required, that person has to climb along; watching from the ground is not enough.

No consent form is needed for minors. Visiting means the adults, or the parents, accept the terms automatically. The paperwork almost every other site asks for is simply absent.

Half the equipment stays reserved for walk-ins. Turning up without a reservation during regular opening hours is therefore not hopeless.

Prices, season and opening hours are on the operator's own site. We deliberately point there, because they can change and that is where the current state is always to be found.
