What makes Lanový park Janské Lázně special
The park lies below the cable car in Janské Lázně in the Krkonoše and belongs to the K+K Ski School, a ski school in winter which by its own account runs one of the largest rope parks in Bohemia in summer.
You travel from tree to tree on a sledge or a snowboard. Not as a figure of speech – both are built in as obstacles. Nothing else in this directory has that.
The baby park was the first of its kind in Czechia. Children under 140 cm had until then been shut out of rope parks; here one was built specially for 100 to 140 cm, on a safe self-belay device.
The two circuits use different systems. The short one runs on Kong's ZAZA self-belay, the long one on a via ferrata system that the instructors teach on a trainer before you go up.
The long circuit takes around two hours – 32 obstacles between four and twelve metres. The short one needs 45 minutes and has either ten obstacles or 17 in the harder variant.
The site contradicts itself on opening hours. In one place it says "daily 9 am to 4 pm", in another "open at weekends and on public holidays". We carry the more cautious statement – a call before setting off is worth it.
Autumn means rebuilding. Most recently the park closed on 16 September to build new obstacles and change the routing.

For children: The long circuit starts at 140 cm, and under 15 only accompanied. The short one can be done alone from twelve. The baby park takes children from 100 to 140 cm.
