What makes Larix Park special
The park is a few minutes' walk from the centre of Livigno in a forest of old larch trees and is run by Mottolino, the company behind the ski and bike area of the same name. You can get there on foot, by bus or by car.
Ten courses are named after colours. The fuchsia one, from age 3, consists of four zip lines that start and land on the ground. Green (up to 1.5 m), dark green (up to 3 m), yellow and blue (up to 5 m) are for children and beginners, red goes up to 10 m, violet to 15 m, white and black to 17 m. The orange course is the highest at up to 22 metres and is almost entirely zip lines, with a viewpoint over Livigno; anyone under 40 kg needs an adult with them there. On top of that comes the Quick Jump from a 14-metre platform.
Access is decided by height with the arm raised, not by age – the operator says so explicitly. Safety is a continuous belay line (Zaza carabiners), and staff follow from the ground. For children up to 3 there is the free Area Yepi playground at the entrance, plus the Larix Bar.
The park is open from 6 June to 27 September, daily from 10 am to 5:30 pm; from late July to mid-August it also stays open until 9 pm on Tuesdays.
