Schnals / Vernagt am See · Südtirol · from age 3

What makes Ötzi Rope Park special

The park lies near Vernagt am See in the Schnals valley – the operator explicitly points out that it is another 19.5 kilometres up the valley from the turn-off in the Vinschgau. Its 13 courses hold about 180 platforms between two and 30 metres up, from very easy to very hard.

For adults the range runs from the yellow practice course through green, blue, red and purple (up to twelve metres, with sliding and cycling elements) to Super Black with 21 platforms, which demands height tolerance, technique and strength. The orange flying fox course leads into a forest course you can leave halfway. Children have four courses of their own up to six metres, one starting with a Bobby Car.

Extra charges apply for the giant swing over the gorge – 40 metres in diameter with a ten-metre free fall – and the zip line course with three zip lines totalling 1,100 metres from the park down to the lake. The park is open daily from May to early November; locals and guests with a guest pass pay less.
