What makes the Ötztal outdoor course special

The site between Sautens and Oetz is not a pure forest rope park: it combines a natural and a forest high ropes course, using rock as well as trees. The two parts are separated by a river that several flying foxes cross.

At four to five hours it is the longest course in Tyrol. That is a deliberate decision against the quick outing – anyone coming here plans half a day and should bring some stamina.

The obstacles sit between three and twelve metres up. Because part of it is built on rock rather than trees, the site feels different from a classic climbing forest: more exposure, less canopy.
