What makes Parco Avventura Val di Vara special
The park lies in the hinterland of the Riviera di Levante, about 30 minutes from Sestri Levante, in an old forest of holm oaks, cedars, spruces and oaks. It belongs to the Giandriale farm stay, whose 150 hectares of mountains, woods and meadows lie within a Natura 2000 protected site. Meals are served at the organic farm restaurant next door, and hiking trails start here too.
Four colour-coded courses: blue (1 to 2 metres), green (4 to 5 metres), yellow (2.5 to 5 metres) and red (9 to 15 metres). For red you first have to pass an access test with the instructors. Separate from these is the Foresta dei Bambini, an educational trail 1 to 1.5 metres up for the youngest.
The super zip line runs 250 metres in a single span. The operator calls it the longest tree-to-tree zip line in Italy. Body weight must not exceed 110 kg, and a ride costs an extra 10 €.
Rules: after the briefing you climb for three hours; more than four hours is not allowed. Closed shoes and a T-shirt with at least short sleeves are required, and long hair must be tied back. The park stays closed in thunderstorms or strong wind.

For children: The Foresta dei Bambini children's course is for ages 3 to 5, the blue course from 6, green and yellow from 7. Teenagers from 12 may do the red course only with an adult on the course, from 16 with an adult on the ground.
