What makes Seilpark Atzmännig special
The rope park is part of the Atzmännig leisure area run by Sportbahnen Atzmännig AG in the Goldingen valley, on the border between the Zurich Oberland and the Toggenburg. According to the operator it was the first rope park in the canton of St. Gallen. The toboggan run, chairlift and leisure park are right next to it.
Eight courses with 103 climbing elements between 2 and 16 metres high. After the compulsory briefing (about 20 minutes) everyone must first complete a green or blue course. Course 6 has the "Tarzan Swing", which the operator calls a world first; course 7, "Diavolezza", climbs to 16 metres, and course 8 runs around a boulder with a view down the Goldingen valley.
For the youngest there are three separate kids' courses with a continuous belay system for 4- to 8-year-olds, supervised by an adult from the ground. Throughout the park a system is used in which one carabiner always stays closed.
Good to know: the rope park also opens in the rain. On fine Sundays and public holidays there may be queues, so the operator recommends coming in the morning. Loose clothing and long skirts are not allowed, and the maximum weight is 120 kg.

During school holidays (20 April to 1 May, 6 July to 14 August, 3 to 18 October) it also opens from 9 am on weekdays. Last entry at 4 pm. In fine weather the park opens from 3 April, and also on fine weekends in November. The rope park stays open in rain but closes in storms or prolonged heavy rain. Groups of 10 or more must book by 4 pm the day before.
