Seilpark ParcAlpin
S-chanf (Prasüras) · Graubünden · from age 4
Rope park in an open larch forest at Prasüras in S-chanf, at the entrance to the Val Trupchun, with six courses named after animals from age 4 and no time limit.
What makes Seilpark ParcAlpin special
The park, run by ParcAlpin GmbH, lies in an open larch forest at Prasüras in S-chanf, at the entrance to the Val Trupchun, the starting point for hikes in the Swiss National Park. The Engadin Bus stops at "S-chanf, Parc Naziunal" or "Express Parc Naziunel", and drivers use the public Prasüras car park. The grounds include a large barbecue area with a fountain.
Six courses named after animals: on the Murmeltier (marmot, from age 4, 1 to 2 metres) children up to 30 kg belay themselves; adults do not climb along but supervise from the ground, and a 20-metre zip line waits at the end. The Hirsch (red deer, from 6, 3 to 5 metres) passes through a real hunting hut, the "Chamonna Alpina", over a round rope bridge and along two zip lines of more than 50 metres. On the Spinne (spider, from 6) you climb through a spider's web and abseil on your own from a height you choose.
For older climbers: the Gams (chamois, from 8) runs at 4 to 6 metres. The Bartgeier (bearded vulture, from 8) consists of zip lines between old larches up to 12 metres high, the longest over 100 metres; it ends with a jump from the "Bartgeier nest" at 12 metres, and anyone who does not want to jump takes the zip line instead. The Steinbock (ibex) is from age 10.
How it works: you register at the main building, get a helmet, harness and gloves, a safety briefing and first go over a practice course. There is no time limit, and online booking is not yet available. In high season (18 July to 16 August and 3 to 18 October) adult entry costs CHF 41 instead of 37; a family ticket for two adults and two children costs CHF 119 (132 in high season).
