Small municipal adventure park at 1,300 metres near Campodolcino in the Valle Spluga: five courses up to 10 metres, priced by package rather than age.
What makes SplugaPark Adventure special
The park sits at about 1,300 metres in the Mottala basin between the hamlets of Fraciscio and Gualdera, five minutes by car from the centre of Campodolcino or a short forest walk (about 200 metres of ascent) from the Roman bridge. It was built by the municipality of Campodolcino and is run by the association A.S.D. Amici di Fraciscio.
The five courses are named after mountains and valleys nearby: Angeloga (up to 1.5 m, seven elements) for the youngest, Valle di Lei (3.5 m) and Pizzo Stella (6 m) at intermediate level, Pizzo Ferrè (8 m) with lots of zip lines and Pizzo Tambò up to 10 metres, where a zip line crosses the Pizzo Sole boulder.
You pay by package: 'Escursionisti' for children from 3 measuring 80 to 120 cm, 'Esploratori' from 110 cm, 'Alpinisti' from 130 cm with four courses and two hours. Between 130 and 140 cm a companion is required. There is a briefing before the start, and harness and helmet are included.
The season runs from late May to early September – weekends in early summer, Tuesday to Sunday from 20 June, daily in August. The park has a kiosk, parking and toilets.
