This site no longer exists

The climbing park on Vienna's Danube Island is closed. The operator gave the site up and has since run the high ropes course at the Gänsehäufel baths nearby – likewise in the 22nd district, a few minutes away.

We keep the entry because the Donauinsel climbing park still appears in many directories and guide books and families search for it. Anyone landing here should learn where to go instead, rather than standing in front of an empty patch of forest.

The two Viennese alternatives:

• Hochseilklettergarten Gänsehäufel – 10 courses, 26 flying foxes, in the middle of the baths on the Alte Donau, from 110 cm.
• Waldseilpark Kahlenberg – 15 courses up to 20 metres, eastern Austria's largest climbing park, also in Vienna.
