What makes Hochseilgarten Hinterstoder special
The Nature Sports site is built on grown trees and divided into nine levels: a children's course, two easy, one medium and one hard level, plus a short, a medium and a long course – and a flying fox across the Steyr.
That zip line over the river is the reason to come. It requires a minimum weight of 40 kg, so it is not open to every child who may otherwise climb along.
The height grading is fine: the children's course starts from 110 cm accompanied, the other levels require 120 cm. From seven to 14 an adult climbs along.
On price the site is strikingly cheap for families with small children: adults pay 27 €, children aged five to seven only 10 €. With the Pyhrn-Priel card, Upper Austria family card or 4youcard it is 24 € and 9 €.
The location in Hinterstoder combines well with the operator's other offers – canyoning, rafting and via ferrata all run from the same base.
