What makes the Kaolinum high ropes course special

The forest ropes course in Allerheiligen im Mühlkreis stands on the grounds of a former kaolin mine – hence the name. Four courses from very easy to very hard, plus a low ropes course for the small ones still too short for the high routes.

The signature feature is the zip lines: the longest measures 120 metres and starts twelve metres up.

The high courses require a minimum height of 140 cm – strict, and it excludes many primary school children. That is exactly what the low ropes course at 6 € is for. The supervision rules are finely graded: under 10 an adult climbs directly along, from 10 to 14 supervision is enough, from 15 on your own with a signed form.

Prices: 26 € for adults, 20 € for teenagers up to 17, 18 € for children up to 14. Groups of twelve or more pay 22 € and 16 €.

The opening times need attention: regular operation is only Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 10 am to 6 pm, last briefing at 3:30 pm. On weekdays it opens only for groups of twelve or more.

The grounds also hold a freely accessible covered bouldering wall and a climbing garden with practice routes.
