What makes Hochseilgarten Oberwölz special
10 courses, 2,900 metres of climbing distance, heights from one to 25 metres – an unusually wide span for a site of this size. Anyone starting just above the ground can work up to 25 metres in the same park.
The highlight is a zip line across the Wölzerbach. The entrance sits right at the Oberwölz leisure centre, which makes getting there simple.
Important for families: there is a separate children's course (2 € extra), and the height limit is 120 cm. Between 120 and 130 cm children need accompaniment and help on the course – the operator says so openly rather than settling it at the desk.
Prices are moderate: 26 € from age 16, 19 € for children up to 15, each including equipment and briefing. The Murau or Styria card takes 30 % off, bringing a child to 13.30 €. Gloves cost 3 € – worth taking, they save the usual blisters.
