Inklusiver Hochseilgarten Marburg
Marburg · Hessen
Four ways up and four down, weight relief for people with muscular weakness and a tactile model for visually impaired visitors – the only site in this directory built for inclusion from the ground up.
This is not a destination for individual visitors. Climbing takes place exclusively with booked groups by prior arrangement.
What makes the inclusive ropes course in Marburg special
It is the only site in this directory planned for people with disabilities from the ground up. Opened in April 2026, run by the youth services of the university town of Marburg, built by ALEA GmbH. The city invested 272,000 euros, with a further 10,000 from the Hessian Ministry for Social Affairs and Integration.
There are four ways up and four down. Up via a ramp, rope hoists, a climbing wall or a climbing net; down via the same ramp, a rope pull, a steep ramp taken backwards or a zipline. That is the actual core: an ordinary forest ropes park has exactly one way up, and anyone who cannot manage it never enters the course at all.
A weight-reduction device takes part of the body weight. For people with muscular conditions that is the difference between watching and taking part.
A tactile model represents the structure, so blind and partially sighted visitors can feel out the layout in advance. Further tactile elements have been announced.
Ascent and descent are wheelchair-suitable.
The structure is around six metres high — considerably lower than the twelve to 20 metres of commercial forest parks. Height is not the point here.
