What makes Lago d'Orta Adventure Park Le Pigne special
The park sits in a quiet clearing in the Agogna valley in the municipality of Ameno, on the hills above Lake Orta, in a forest of firs and chestnuts. From the car park at the Ristorante MonteOro it is a ten-minute walk uphill – cars do not reach the courses. According to the operator, only local timber was used to build it.
Five courses graded by reach height: Fucsia, for 3- to 7-year-olds, consists of two ziplines about 45 metres long at no more than two metres. Green has ten elements at up to two metres, blue ten elements up to seven metres, and red 15 elements with exercises at 13 metres and three ziplines of 25 to 65 metres – the operator says it is the guests' favourite. Brown is two 50-metre ziplines leading to a platform 17 metres up.
Safety comes from the Zazà system: the karabiner stays clipped to the continuous safety line for the whole course and can only be released back on the ground. You pay per round – each extra round is much cheaper – or for a package of two and a half hours or a full day. Orienteering, a sensory trail and, at weekends, archery are also offered.
The park is open all year except on Mondays; in winter, according to the operator, only on weekends and public holidays and when the weather allows.

Alternatively you pay per round: the first round on green, blue, red or brown costs 18 €, the second 8 €, the third 4 € and every round after that 2 €. The Fucsia baby course costs 6 € for the first half hour and 2 € for each further half hour. Equipment, fitting and briefing are included. For children: Fucsia baby course from age 3 under parental supervision. The other courses go by reach height with the arm stretched up: green from age 4 and 100 cm, blue from 8 and 145 cm, brown from 8, 140 cm and 30 kg, red from 12 and 185 cm.

Open all year, closed on Mondays. According to the operator, in the colder months the park only opens on weekends and public holidays, weather permitting; special openings by reservation are available all year. The courses are a ten-minute walk from the car park at the Ristorante MonteOro; a transfer can be arranged on request.
