What makes Parco Avventura Valle Maira special

The park sits on the valley road from Dronero to Acceglio, in a forest of Scots pine and silver fir near Prazzo, right by the Elva stream. It belongs to Camping Park Valle Maira, so you can pitch a tent or park a camper right next door.

Four courses in a fixed order: green at about two metres, green plus, blue, and red at up to 15 metres. Everyone starts on green and moves up step by step. Along the way there are bridges, lianas, nets, footholds, a sled, a skateboard, a climbing wall and zip lines, and every course ends with a zip line back to the ground.

Safety is a continuous lifeline (Coudou Pro system): you clip in at the start and only unclip at the end, and both carabiners can never be detached at the same time. The operator refers to the EN 15567 standard. The practice course is compulsory for everyone, even experienced climbers, and your own equipment is not allowed.

The age rules are finely graded: children aged six to ten may do the green courses alone with an adult following on the ground; on blue the adult has to climb along. From 11 blue is allowed alone, red from 14 with an adult and freely from 17. Tickets are charged by time – one hour on green, or two and a half hours on every course your age allows. Gloves are not provided and long trousers are recommended. Park at the junction with the SP104 into the Elva valley; from there it is 100 metres on foot.
