What makes Indoor Seilpark Grindelwald special

The park hangs above the ice rink in the Grindelwald sports centre, which makes it independent of the weather – in a snowstorm just as in high summer. It is run by Outdoor Switzerland, which also operates the Interlaken rope park.

Five courses with 40 elements retell the first ascent of the Eiger north face: obstacles and names refer to historic key passages such as the Hinterstoisser Traverse, along with swinging “icicles”. The routes range from easy to “Eiger north face”.

Cooler than you think: because the courses sit above the ice, the operator recommends a warm jacket for breaks. Spectators are free.

Open on selected days only: the park runs all year but not every day; available slots are in the booking system. Groups can also come outside opening hours on request. Parking is in the paid Eiger+ car park.
