What makes Esploraria special
Esploraria is at Lame di Zocca in the Modena Apennines, an hour from Modena and 50 minutes from Bologna according to the operator. Its founder coined his own word for the tree courses: “albering” – routes over the trees with suspension bridges, lianas, nets, hanging barrels and pulleys.
Twelve courses in four groups: three baby courses (the first with an adult), four Bambino courses, and for adults a practice course followed by Facile, Medio, a pulley variant and Difficile. New additions are the Percorso Impossibile, a fourth baby course and tree climbing.
The measure is unusual: instead of height the park goes by reach – from the ground to the wrist with the arm raised. 100 cm is enough for Baby, 125 cm for Bambino, 160 cm for the adult courses. The age ranges (3–5, 5–8, 9–99) are only guidelines.
It is open at weekends, and on Wednesdays and Thursdays on request. Esploraria also offers climbing, team building, programmes for schools and groups, and rentals.

The operator gives a weekly schedule without season dates: Saturday and Sunday 10 am to 7 pm, Wednesday and Thursday on request, Monday, Tuesday and Friday closed, all weather permitting. For specific opening days it refers to the phone (388 1872500, weekdays 3.30 to 6.30 pm).
