What makes Hochseilgarten Bad Oeynhausen special

Six courses with 86 climbing elements are spread over some 800 metres of route. The operator states a difficulty from one to five for every course — more precise than the usual colour grading, and it lets you plan the afternoon realistically.

The build-up rises cleanly: orange for beginners with nine elements at four metres, blue with 16 elements also at four, green with twelve elements at eight metres and a Tarzan jump, red with 19 elements at eight metres, purple with 14 elements at twelve metres including a ten-metre jump, and finally black with 16 elements at twelve metres and the sky ladder.

The park sits in the Aqua Magica park, the landscape park between Bad Oeynhausen and Löhne. The operator also runs forest ropes courses in Bad Iburg and Osnabrück; the annual pass covers several sites.

Two things matter before you set off: tickets are sold online only, and card payment is not possible on site. Outside the holidays it is closed Monday to Thursday — open Fridays from 2 pm, weekends from 11 am, and daily from 11 am to 7 pm during school holidays and on public holidays.
