What makes Hochseilgarten Heist special
The harness carries a strong magnet. The operator warns explicitly: it happily destroys memory cards, debit cards and car keys with sensors. Phone and camera are better left in the car or a chest pocket – taking them along is at your own risk. We have found this warning at no other site in this directory.
Rings, watches and bracelets have to come off, along with large earrings and necklaces. Not as a recommendation but because of the injury risk.
After three hours you hand the equipment back – but you may stay in the forest. A friendly separation of climbing time from time on site that other places do not make.
Booking goes through the website. The operator explicitly asks you to book your slot in advance.
Groups of ten or more pay 15 € per person – against 22 € for adults that is the sharpest group discount we found in Schleswig-Holstein.
On the price list: the family rate for parents with their own children is given as 55 € and 75 €, plus 15 € for each further person. How many people each tier covers is not stated – worth asking before you set off.
