It sits directly on the Elbe, at Hamburg's south-eastern edge on the Elbuferstraße opposite the municipal works.
You book by WhatsApp. The operator runs a hotline staffed Tuesday to Sunday from 10.30 am to 6.30 pm and names WhatsApp on equal terms with a phone call. Booking is not compulsory, but it secures a place.
The school rate is the cheapest we found in Schleswig-Holstein: 16 € per pupil aged six to 17, with one teacher climbing free per ten participants.
Climbing goes ahead in short showers. Only continuous rain, storms or high water stop operations. Short-notice cancellations run through Facebook – if you hold a booking, you cancel via the hotline.
