Kletterpark Hamari

Mönichkirchen · Niederösterreich · from age 3

At over two hectares the largest climbing park in the Wiener Alpen, located on the Wechsel massif.

What makes Kletterpark Hamari special

At over two hectares, Hamari is the largest climbing park in Lower Austria. It lies in Mönichkirchen on the Wechsel massif, about an hour from both Vienna and Graz – a location that works for either city.

Grading follows height: under 110 cm the toddlers' course, from 110 cm (around six years) the low courses, from 140 cm the higher ones. One adult supervises three to five children depending on their ability.

Climbing starts with a 15 to 20 minute briefing and the park provides the equipment – bringing your own climbing gear is not allowed, your own helmet is fine. Heavy rain, strong wind or thunderstorms close the park; anyone who has to stop because of it receives a replacement voucher.

The season runs April to October, daily from 9:30 am in July and August.
