Kletterpark Rietberg

Rietberg · Nordrhein-Westfalen · from 120 cm

Seven courses with 44 stations inside the Rietberg garden show park, plus a free-fall tower from 16 metres.

What makes Kletterpark Rietberg special

The free-fall tower from 16 metres is the highest point of the site — a controlled jump with a braking system catching the fall. That is something other than a zipline, and rare in this directory.

Seven courses with 44 stations run on a continuous belay system you cannot unclip from. The three forest courses rise from two through three to four metres and end with a zipline — the right order for children and beginners. Blue follows at five metres, red at nine, black at up to 13.

Access depends on height, not age: 1.20 m for the forest courses and blue, 1.40 m for red and black.

One peculiarity about getting there: the climbing park sits inside the Rietberg garden show park, for which admission is payable first. Buy a climbing ticket and that admission is refunded or offset. From the ZOB Rietberg car park it is another 400 metres on foot via the Gartenschaupark Mitte entrance.

A hygiene cap is compulsory under the helmet. You can bring one or buy it on site. Gloves are optional.

The season opened on 28 March 2026. Places are limited — booking online saves waiting, and in extreme heat the park may close at short notice.
