What makes Kletterwald Borken special
Open daily from 10 am to 7 pm — the exception in this directory. Most German sites open on weekdays only during the school holidays. If your day off is a Tuesday in June, this one is open.
Climbing time is 3.5 hours, and briefings start on the hour and half hour. So you do not have to wait for one fixed slot.
The toddler course costs 8 €, and the adult who accompanies from the ground pays nothing.
Beyond open climbing there is a fully developed group programme: outdoor education, school and study trips, team events, outdoor training, workplace health promotion — with a seminar room of its own on the grounds. For schools and companies that is more than a day out.
In spring and autumn some days are reserved for groups; the website calendar shows the current state.

For children: Up to and including ten, an adult has to climb along, at most three children per adult. At eleven and twelve a supervisor is enough and need not climb. Under 18 a written consent form is required, and the weight limit is 120 kg.
