What makes Kletterwald Bretten special
Bretten lies between Karlsruhe and Pforzheim in the Kraichgau. The park shares an operator with the site in Illingen — which shows in the ticketing.
Three and a half hours of climbing time is more generous than the three hours that apply almost everywhere else, and with around 120 exercises on the high courses it is also needed.
The combination ticket for both sites costs 44 € for adults, 42 € reduced and 40 € for children. Anyone planning to visit both over a holiday or a season saves against two single tickets.
Access is graded: from seven years and around 1.25 m you go up with an adult, from 1.40 m alone. For younger children there is the kids' course with about 50 exercises and two hours of time.
Leather gloves are mandatory — your own are fine, otherwise they cost 4.50 € a pair. Payment is cash only. Season passes exist for families (295 €), adults (145 €), teenagers (120 €) and children (95 €); the season runs from late March to early November.
